City crews respond to latest snowfall

The city of Regina faces winter weather challenges as three to four cm of snow blanketed the city in the last 24 hours.

While that’s not enough for a full on plow of the streets, the city’s winter maintenance crews are diligently clearing high-speed roads, high-traffic routes, and emergency paths, focusing on plowing snow and applying ice control at high-risk intersections.

Additional efforts include clearing areas prone to blockages from blowing snow. Commuters are encouraged to plan routes on priority roads, allocate extra travel time, and exercise caution around snowplows.

For real-time updates and notifications, residents can utilize the Sweep&Plow app or sign up for email reminders at Regina.ca/snowroutes. Staying informed and practicing safe winter driving habits will contribute to smoother travel experiences during challenging weather conditions.
