Lynx Air to prowl the skies above Regina starting this summer

Lynx Air has revealed plans to expand its network to YQR, starting June 20, to become the airline’s first venture into the Saskatchewan market.

The discount carrier will operate six weekly flights each on routes from Regina International Airport to Vancouver International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. Flights will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, offering passengers regular, consistent travel options.

Ticket prices start at just $79 one way, inclusive of taxes and fees, with a limited-time seat sale offering up to 35 per cent off network-wide on base fares until Jan. 18, 2024, using promo code “REGINA.”

In a media release, Vijay Bathija, Lynx CCO, expressed excitement about connecting Regina and Saskatchewan to British Columbia and Ontario, emphasizing affordability and convenience.

Regina Mayor Sandra Masters in the release welcomed the addition, citing its positive impact on the city’s visitor economy, while Lynx Air aims to address demand for an ultra-low-cost carrier in southern Saskatchewan.
