On Thursday, the Roughriders announced the American running back agreed to a one-year contract extension.

In his rookie campaign in green and white, he finished sixth overall for rushing yards (533) in the Canadian Football League and was named the Roughriders Most Outstanding Rookie of the Year in 2022.

Last year, Hickson had 157 rushing yards on the ground, including 77 yards against Ottawa during his lone start in Week 16.

Before joining Saskatchewan, 5’8 200 lb running back spent five seasons with Liberty University (2015-19).
