Ferland (6’5, 306) started in all 18 games with the Roughriders in 2023, mostly playing at right guard. On two occasions during the season (Week 3 vs. Calgary and Week 13 vs. Winnipeg), injuries forced him to move to right tackle. Saskatchewan would go on to win both games.

The Melfort native originally joined the Roughriders as a territorial junior in 2019, spending time on the team’s practice roster. He would go on to earn a starting role in 2021, playing left guard for 13 games and one game at centre. Ferland started 15 games at left guard in 2022.

During his time with the Regina Thunder, the 26-year-old won the Prairie Football Conference’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman award in 2019, and was selected to the PFC All-Star Team on four occasions.
