A 71-year-old male is facing charges following an investigation by the Regina Children’s Justice Centre into allegations of sexual assault on a minor.

The investigation commenced on February 5, 2024, after the Regina Children’s Justice Centre received a report alleging that a private music instructor had sexually assaulted a nine-year-old youth.

Seventy-one-year-old Claro Recto Belen, a resident of Regina, has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and innovation to sexual touching.

Belen has been released on conditions pending a court appearance scheduled for March 12.
