Five-goal second period pushes Broncos to 7-2 win over Pats

A five-goal second period powered the Swift Current Broncos to a 7-2 win over the Regina Pats.

The Pats had a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes with goals from Aaron Krestanowich (3) and Sam Oremba (19) before allowing six unanswered goals in the final 40 minutes of action.

Twelve Broncos players got on the scoresheet, with Clarke Caswell leading the way with three points (1G-2A) and four others picking up multi-points, including Luke Mistelbache, who chipped in two goals.

The Pats will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Swift Current to take on the Broncos in the second half of their home-and-home with puck drop from the InnovationPlex at 7:00 p.m.
