Three arrested in large fentanyl seizure

Three individuals are facing multiple charges following a recent drug investigation that led to the recovery of significant quantities of illicit drugs and firearms.

On Friday, February 16, members of the Regina Police Service executed a search warrant in the 1900 Block of Saskatchewan Drive.

The operation resulted in the arrest of two adult males and an adult female, with one of the male suspects found in possession of a loaded handgun at the time of apprehension.

During the search, authorities seized substantial amounts of fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with cash and firearms.

Notably, nine kilograms of fentanyl were among the seized substances, marking one of the largest fentanyl seizures in the history of the Regina Police Service.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old man faces numerous charges, including possession of scheduled substances for trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and firearm-related offences. The 34-year-old man and 30-year-old woman face charges related to drug trafficking and firearm possession.

All three individuals made their initial court appearances at Regina Provincial Court on Tuesday, February 20.
