More than Six Million Dollars Raised in TeleMiracle #48

People in Saskatchewan were “ringing those phones” all weekend to help out the Kinsmen of Saskatchewan with TeleMiracle #48. By 5 o’clock Sunday afternoon, the annual telethon raised a total of $6,112,717.00. Since 1977, the telethon has raised a total of over 165 million dollars and all of that money stays in Saskatchewan.

All the money raised through TeleMiracle is granted through the Kinsmen Foundation for specialized medical and mobility equipment, assistance with medical travel, and new and innovative health care equipment. The Foundation typically receives over 1,000applications for assistance annually.

“TeleMiracle remains rooted in Saskatchewan and the generosity of Saskatchewan people
really shined through once again this weekend,” says TeleMiracle 48 Chair Tyler Hall. “These
donations are going to help so many people across the province.”

There were 75 different performers keeping the entertainment going throughout the telethon, and there was a tribute to long time host, Bob McGrath. McGrath was a mainstay on the TeleMiracle Broadcast up until his death in December of 2022.

Donors that made phone pledges during the telethon can honour them by mailing their donation
to TeleMiracle at Box 83000, Saskatoon SK, S7K 9S1.
