What would you do if you won $100,000?

For 22 years the organizers and volunteers of the Fort Knox Jr. B Gold Rush lotto have been asking that question to people all over Saskatchewan. For 22 years the lotto has helped keep the Fort Knox Jr. B hockey team in Fort Qu’Appelle operating and providing a place for Saskatchewan kids to play hockey. For those of you who come from small towns, you know the importance of having hockey teams, and sports teams in general, operating in your community because it keeps kids active and out of trouble. Plus, who doesn’t want a shot at winning $100,000?

The team is part of the Prairie Junior Hockey League which also includes the Pilot Butte Storm, Regina Silver Foxes, Richardson Pioneer Southern Rebels in Assiniboia, Extreme Hockey Regina Capitals, and Saskatoon area teams. The next game for Fort Knox will be tomorrow night (Thursday, March 7th) at 7:30pm in Fort Qu’Appelle against the Capitals.

The Gold Rush lotto is back in 2024 and they want you to walk away with some serious cash! We all know how expensive things are nowadays thanks to inflation. Grocery shopping can be challenging sometimes, sports registrations and sports equipment can really add up, and the overall cost of getting by is up dramatically. $100,000 would certainly help with the bills these days. Tickets are $100 – but you can always go in with a friend or co-worker and purchase a ticket if that’s easier.
