At 5:49 am downtown Regina was bathed in darkness as the power went out for a swath of the cities core.

Saskpower reporting that crews have been dispatched to address the issue. The outage appears to be affecting Saskatchewan Drive to College Avenue and Albert towards Broad Street.

Power was restored by crews at 7:21am – no cause of the outage has been released.
