One injured in House Fire in Moose Jaw

The Moose Jaw Police Service says one person was left injured after a house fire on Saturday afternoon.

On the evening of March 16, at 1:08 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) received a report of a house fire in the 1000 block of Willow Avenue.

The only reported occupant of the house, a 23-year-old male, managed to escape the building safely before emergency services arrived.

Following an on-scene assessment, the male was treated for minor smoke inhalation and transported to the local hospital.

The residential home affected by the fire sustained an estimated $270,000 in damages. Additionally, the adjacent home suffered severe damage, with the extent of the damage yet to be determined.

The Moose Jaw Police Service is investigating the cause of the fire. However, they have stated that the fire is not considered suspicious.
