A look at what’s open and closed during the long weekend

The Easter long weekend is here, and Regina residents can expect changes in city services, transit, and leisure activities.

Here’s a breakdown of what will and won’t be available this year on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

City Services and Transit:

City offices will close on Good Friday, April 5th, and resume regular operations on Tuesday.

Transit services will adjust their schedules, operating on Sunday routes and timings for Good Friday, before returning to regular operations on Easter Monday.

Public Libraries:

Regina Public Libraries have announced that most locations will remain open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing residents with opportunities for literary pursuits over the holiday weekend.

Leisure Centres:

Regina’s leisure centres offer varying schedules during the Easter weekend for those looking to stay active.

The North West Leisure Centre and the Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre will be closed on Good Friday and Sunday. However, they will welcome patrons from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter Monday.

In contrast, the Sportsplex Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre will remain open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, operating from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
