“Turnaround” Underway at FCL’s Refinery in Regina

As its facility in Regina is heading into maintenance time, Federated Cooperatives Limited says its investing 140 million dollars into the refinery and attached operations.

For 47 days, the site will be teeming with workers doing various maintenance and upgrades.  Federated Cooperatives says 2200 additional temporary jobs will be filled.

With more workers on site, safety is also a concern.  Safety measures will be stepped up at the site, and there will be more traffic control around MacDonald and Fleet Streets while the work is being done.

“This is an important time for us every year. It is an opportunity for heightened awareness as we safely execute our plans,” said Jen Stiglitz, General Manager, Refinery Operations. “It is our responsibility to keep our facility and our community safe. We’re committed to working with our people, partners and local community as we complete this critical project.”
