Regina Police launch arson investigation into fire at Cornwall Centre

The fire that damaged The Bay at the Cornwall Centre has the Regina Police Service investigating after it was found to have been deliberately set.

The fire was ignited in a clothing rack near one of the store’s exits.

Firefighters responded to the blaze Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured, however, significant smoke and water damage were reported on the store’s main floor.

Due to the fire, the province announced that its eHealth head office, which is in the same building, would be closed to the public for the rest of the week.
