While many in the Notorious City are hoping the Moose Jaw Warriors are able to dispose of the Portland Winterhawks this week at the Hangar, there is something else city residents can remove from their lawns. 

It’s free yard waste weekend in Moose Jaw from May 18 to 20th. The city is waiving the $10 tipping fee for all organic waste including leaves, grass clipping and branches no larger than one inch in diameter. 

There is a separate designated yard waste zone, with staff inspecting loads and directing vehicles. 

When it comes to the loads, it’s tarps on, and violators will be fined.
