PRESEASON GAME DAY AT A GLANCE

New year, new squad.

Join us on Monday afternoon for your first look at the Corey Mace era. The 2024 hopefuls, including some veterans and fan favourites, will line up for the first time this season, hoping to show an all-new coaching staff they have what it takes to be a Saskatchewan Roughrider.

Kickoff is at 2 p.m., and while many members of the team are all new, it’s the same old foe on the other side of the ball. The rival Winnipeg Blue Bombers are in town for the first of four scheduled matchups this season.

The theme is Community Culture – this game is meant to represent the people, cultures and traditions that make Saskatchewan so special. Inside the stadium, fans are able to be a part of a truly special experience as a citizenship ceremony will take place right on the field. Then join the country’s newest Canadians as they sing O Canada for the first time as citizens of our home and native land. At halftime, fans will be dazzled by Ukrainian Dance Troops the Yevshan Ukrainian Ensemble and Zabutnyy Dance Company.

The first Coors Light Party in the Park of the 2024 season begins at 11 a.m. on Monday. Fans can expect live performances by the Mariachi Latino Band in the lead up to kick off, alongside DJ Tolley T, the 620 CKRM Rider Pep Band, 620 CKRM Rider Cheer Team and Gainer the Gopher. Party in the Park will also feature face painting, inflatables, hair and balloon artists, cornhole and other outdoor games for the whole family.

The Club is excited to bring back Rider Store Game Day Specials this season. Every home game will highlight a piece of Rider merchandise that you will be able to take home at a special game day price! For the preseason game, Rider Nation can celebrate like a pro with their own ‘big play’ fan chain. All five of our fan unique chains will be 25% off from May 19th to 21st.

Following the game, fans are invited to come down to the field! Cap off the day by taking some cool family photos from a different perspective and see your kids run, jump and play where the pros do! At the end of the game, head over to Pil Country and take the stairs down to field level. Rider volunteers will be there to guide you.

Preseason Week A

It’s new year of Saskatchewan Roughrider Football and this new squad is ready to show you what it’s made of. It was a busy offseason for the Green and White, adding several big names to the team in free agency including running back A.J. Ouellette, offensive tackle Jermarcus Hardrick and middle linebacker Jameer Thurman. These new Rider stars join some old favourites like quarterback Trevor Harris, receivers Kian Schaffer-Baker and Shawn Bane Jr. and defensive lineman Micah Johnson and Anthony Lanier II.

Dozens of rookies will also be looking to make their mark and earn their spot on the 2024 squad. Keep your eyes peeled for some training camp standouts such as receiver KeeSean Johnson (#86) and defensive back C.J. Coldon (#22) in their first game action.

Fans won’t want to miss seeing this Corey Mace led team take the field for the first time or showing all our new players and rookies what Rider Nation is all about.

Thought I would dig up some old memories of days gone by as we look at the past to bring us to the future of Rider Nation
