A “burning of the brand” was held in Yorkton this (Mon) morning to kick off Agriculture Week in the city.
The 35th Annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown begins on Wednesday, and runs through Saturday, on the Yorkton Exhibition Grounds.
The special guest who burned the brand was well-known Yorkton resident Merve Kuryluk, who played professional hockey with the Chicago Blackhawks during the 1961-62 season.
