This is the time of year when all the year-end lists start coming out. All the major dictionaries have declared their words of the year and soon news organizations will be revealing their stories and athletes of 2024. Wikipedia, which is one of the most sought after websites for information on anything, has released their top five list of their most visited articles.

First off, there were over 76 billion views on just Wikipedia’s English language pages, which is an astounding number considering there are approximately eight billion people on Earth. The top five most viewed pages looks like this:
5) Donald Trump: 25.2 million views
4) Erik and Lyle Menendez: 26.1 million views
3) US Presidential Election: Nearly 28 million views
2) Kamala Harris: Almost 29 million views
1) Deaths in 2024: 44.1 million views
While it may be a bit morbid, it’s not the first time deaths have topped the Wikipedia most visited pages throughout the year. In fact, it’s been number one five times since 2015.
