(AUDIO) Regina Ec Dev launches new initiative

Chris Lane of Regina Economic Development joined Good Morning Saskatchewan to share details on a new initiative to celebrate the people of Regina who make the city a better place to live.

“Everybody from mentors to newcomers to the city, innovators, and business leaders, highlighted Lane. “A whole gamut of ways we wanted to highlight people doing great things.”

The new program is called the Regina 25 and will allow residents to nominate individuals who they feel have contributed greatly to Regina’s past, present, and future. 25 nominees will be selected by the end of March and will be honoured at a special gala planned for April.

The Regina 25 was first announced during Mayor Chad Bachynski’s inaugural State of the City address on Thursday where he touted the benefits of living in Regina, new projects, and shared his vision for a bright future for the city.
