The Regina Police are celebrating the return of their police plane nearly a year after it was damaged during routine maintenance.
Parts of the plane had to be rebuilt due to extensive damage to the wing sustained in April of last year, and some parts had to come from a factory in the U.S.
Numerous safety tests took place for the plane to return to the air.
Regina Police say it’s proven helpful in recent weeks, aiding in more than a dozen arrests within its first seven shifts back in service.
