The Regina Police Service is reviewing a case where an officer shot a dog during a theft investigation.
It happened just after 8 a.m. on the 1500 block of Athol Street. Police were looking for two stolen dogs believed to be at a home.
As officers spoke to someone outside, the dogs ran out and approached an officer. One was shot and received vet care. The Use of Force Review Board will examine the incident.
