I’m always moved by appreciative people who enjoy the small things in life and we experienced that with the Bodnar’s of Dysart. Young Hudson is a very loyal listener of 620 CKRM, so when he heard the cue to call in he grabbed a sharpie and wrote the number on his hand. Well his ticket was punched and he and his family we’re the recipients of our cookout and it couldn’t of happened to a nicer family. I came to find out that Hudson has been a loyal listener to us for years and has come buy our booths at Agribition and the Farm Show several times to say hi and visit. I was also told that when he is in the implements with any of his family the radio always gets turned over to 620 CKRM (atta boy).
As the rain came down the conversation was filled with optimism on the upcoming season and the beer went down a little smoother. It was great to hang out with Mark, Carey, Hudson & Sadie Brodner and their family and friends. Great company and music with a hot roast beef supper just sings comradery.
Thanks to Melissa Mannett & Jordan Toppings for sharing their music with us and to all the sponsors we love your involvement.

We hung out in Dysart for the day and watch the birds feast in the grass as the sense of optimism filled the air for a greener future. The Village of Dysart is situated in the RM of Lipton # 217 and was named after Dysart, Fifeshire, Scotland. It was incorporated on April 6, 1909, and had a population of 79. The population now fluctuates around 200.

Let’s head to the Bodnar’s south of Dysart.

I asked for a family portrait and they made it happen!

The future…..Hudson and Sadie Brodnar

Thou shall not pass without gifts of beef and grog!
