CARLYLE — Carlyle RCMP are asking the public to report any sightings of 21-year-old Darias Obey, who is wanted for aggravated assault following an incident on White Bear First Nation.
Around 5:30 a.m. on June 28, RCMP responded to a report of an injured man who had walked to a residence on the First Nation seeking help. Investigators believe he was the victim of a serious assault. He was transported to hospital with what police described as serious injuries. No further update on his condition has been provided.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, Obey, a resident of White Bear First Nation, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault under the Criminal Code. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and police are actively working to locate him.
Obey is described as approximately six-foot-four and 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
