Just another beautiful Canada Day celebration in Regina. I can tell from social media photos the Canadian pride was strong across our country. With the 158th birthday in the books, Canadians need to continue showing the world that we are strong, independent and can handle whatever comes our way.
This country has generously allowed people from the globe to enhance our country with their expertise and ground breaking talents. We see it in science, sports, language, the arts just to touch on a few outlets that gather the best of the best in Canada.
Proud moments for people taking the Canadian Citizenship Oath, families gathering together to celebrate this country and their country of origin with cultural showcases. No matter who they are nor where they came from, the Canadian flag was evident and a pleasure to see the interaction of our diversity.
A Canadian Air Force fly over, the singing of O Canada and seeing people gather with BBQs, coolers, chilling out under umbrellas and stretched out on blankets; a country pulling together to let the world know, we are stronger than you think. Bravo Canada. Let there be continued love for this country we call ours. Grand gestures are not necessary. Singing O Canada at the next event, fly the maple leaf, volunteer to organize Canada Day activities in 2026, celebrate the Canadians in your community that have made differences, maybe it is you! Take time to learn about Canada’s history the good and the bad.
