One of the biggest complaints from store shoppers nowadays isn’t about store hours or customer service, it’s about the size of parking stalls. While some big box stores have made efforts to ensure parking isn’t a problem, other retailers and malls have very tight parking, much to the ire of those who drive trucks and larger SUV’s.
A man in Italy has designed what could be the narrowest vehicle in the world. Andrea Marazzi has put in an application to the Guinness World Records to have his car be declared the skinniest in the world. It measures just 50 centimeters wide, 145 centimeters tall, and weighs 264 kilograms. The average vehicle weight can range from 1,134 kg (smallest vehicle) up to 2,268 kg (biggest). Marazzi’s vehicle is not the speediest car in the world – it tops out at a speed of 15km/h.
Marazzi built the car after shrinking down a 1993 Fiat Panda and using most of its original parts, including having all four wheels. While the car is not considered road-worthy, it has proven to be a great publicity stunt for Marazzi’s junkyard business.
Sounds like the perfect car for parallel parking.
