REGINA—Two additional suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide that occurred last month near Grand Coulee.
On June 10, 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a report of a deceased individual in a rural area near the community. The victim was later identified as 35-year-old Aron Lunan. Following an initial investigation by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit, the death was deemed a homicide.
As the investigation progressed, authorities determined that the incident originated within the city of Regina. The Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit subsequently took over the case.
Earlier this week, 24-year-old Britain Volk was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder in relation to Lunan’s death.
On Thursday, July 3, two more individuals—30-year-old Patrick Akapew and 38-year-old Tyler Wayne Edwards—were also arrested. Both men have been charged with First Degree Murder under Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.
Akapew and Edwards appeared in Provincial Court in Regina this morning.
The investigation remains ongoing.
