REGINA—Regina Fire and Protective Services responded swiftly to a house fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning, preventing what could have been a much more serious incident.
Crews were dispatched to the 1700 block of Connaught Street at approximately 3:20 a.m. after reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the main floor of the residence.
Firefighters made an immediate entry into the home and were able to bring the blaze under control within ten minutes.

A full search of the property was completed, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
Regina Fire and Protective Services are reminding residents to ensure smoke alarms are working and to have a fire escape plan in place.
