Moose Jaw – Update: The Moose Jaw Police Service had concluded its Police Operation at the Lakeview Trailer Court.
The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested and charged 30-year-old Meagan Windover attempted murder and several firearms-related offences in relation to a weapons call.
At approximately 9:12 am on July 14, Moose Jaw Police Service members were dispatched to the North Service Road for a weapon-related call involving a firearm.
Upon arrival, police located a male who had suffered a gunshot wound and was attended to by EMS, then transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The two individuals were known to each other.
Through the investigation, police identified the suspect to be a 17-year-old male. Additionally, police identified a second suspect as Windover.
Police discovered that Windover was at a residence within the Lakeview Trailer Court and executed an arrest warrant.
Windover was arrested without incident with the assistance of the MJPS’ Crisis Negotiators, Tactical Response Team (TRT), and Community Policing Division.
She will make her first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.
The 17-year-old male remains at large.The incident is currently under investigation by police.

Police are asking residents and motorists to avoid the area until the police operation is concluded. Trailer court occupants are asked to stay within their homes until the operation has concluded.
