SASKATCHEWAN — A former resident of southeast Saskatchewan has been released from custody with new conditions after his latest arrest.
Mason Wayne Strutt, who is originally from Oxbow, was apprehended recently on a charge of mischief and two counts of violating his release conditions. He was given a consent release order, with conditions, on Aug. 14 after appearing in Weyburn Provincial Court.
Strutt is facing a charge in Weyburn court of having a blood alcohol concentration of at least .08 within two hours of ceasing to operate a conveyance, and violating the terms of his release conditions in Estevan court earlier this year.
His southeast matters will be heard again Sept. 16 in Estevan.
Strutt also has matters in Moose Jaw and Regina. His most recent appearance in Moose Jaw was July 29 on a sexual assault charge. The matter was moved up to Court of King’s Bench in Moose Jaw for a trial before a judge and jury.
He has charges in Regina including uttering threats, assault, animal cruelty and causing a person to take a noxious substance. The case was also heard in Regina Aug. 14, and adjourned to Sept. 4.
He was arrested and charged by members of the Regina Police Service on April 10. He was held in custody for a week and was released with conditions.
