According to weather forecasters, southern Saskatchewan is preparing for a period of very warm weather between Tuesday and Thursday.
We have a heat warning for the next couple of days, as temperatures are forecast to reach 32 to 34 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, with humidex readings near 40. Conditions are expected to cool later Wednesday night into Thursday.
Health officials remind people to stay hydrated and watch for heat exhaustion, which can cause fatigue, nausea, and dizziness. Residents should check on seniors and at-risk neighbours and seek cool indoor or shaded public spaces if needed.
