NORTH BATTLEFORD – A 26-year-old man from North Battleford remains in custody after appearing in court to face more than a dozen sex-related charges involving minors.
Blaisen Nicotine was charged in April following two separate incidents involving victims under the age of 16 in November 2024.
According to court documents, one of the alleged incidents occurred in a school bathroom, where Nicotine is accused of exposing himself to a person under 16 for a sexual purpose and inviting them to touch him. He is additionally charged with sexual assault, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, and possessing child pornography.
In a second incident, he is charged with sexual assault of another victim under 16 in November 2024. In that incident he is also charged with making child pornography, possessing child pornography and distributing child pornography, and communicating with a person under the age of 18 for the purpose facilitating a sexual offence to make child pornography.
Nicotine was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear again in North Battleford Provincial Court via CCTV from a correctional facility on Sept. 18.
A court-ordered publication ban is in place to protect the identities of the victims.
