SASKATOON — A woman is facing charges after a Saskatoon police officer was bitten early Monday morning.
Shortly after midnight, Sept. 8, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing property damage and refusing to leave a hotel in the 100 block of Circle Drive North. A woman was located and taken into custody for public intoxication.
But at SPS Detention, says the Saskatoon Police Service, the woman refused to obey directions, and while police were attempting to place her in a cell, she bit an officer. The member was transported to hospital for treatment.
The 23-year-old female is charged with assaulting a police officer.
