SASKATCHEWAN — RCMP have released information on three fatal rollovers that occurred on the weekend.
The most recent was Sept. 7, at about 11:20 a.m. Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 953 in Emma Lake. Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 55-year-old man from Christopher Lake, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.
Also on Sept. 7, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Southey RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 20, north of Govan. The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old female from the Kawacatoose First Nation, was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. A female passenger was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as serious in nature.
On Sept. 6, just before 9 p.m., Spiritwood RCMP responded to a fatal collision involving an ATV and a vehicle on Pelican Lake First Nation. The operator of the ATV, a 26-year-old man from Pelican Lake First Nation, was declared dead at the scene by EMS. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and RCMP are searching for that individual.
RCMP are investigating all the incidents with help from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
