Cut Knife Report – Aug. 25 to Sept. 1
Cut Knife RCMP received 96 calls for service between Aug. 25 and Sept. 1. These files included well-being checks, reports of disturbances, traffic offences, mischief, assault, assault with a weapon, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Act calls, fire, theft of vehicle, sexual assault, break and enter, Liquor Act offences, harassing communications, crime prevention, collisions, theft, suspicious persons, family disputes, animal calls and assisting other agencies. Notable files include:
On Aug. 27, a 36-year-old woman contacted police, reporting she was intoxicated and had engaged in a verbal altercation with her sister. The woman said she did not wish to remain at the residence and asked to be taken into custody. RCMP attended the scene, arrested the woman without incident and released her once she was sober.
On Aug. 27 and Aug. 30, members responded to two fire calls at an abandoned residence in Poundmaker Cree Nation. No injuries were reported, and emergency services ensured the scene was safe. The matter remains under investigation as two suspected arsons.
On Aug. 28, RCMP members were dispatched following an automotive crash notification on the 674 grid road. They discovered a red Dodge Ram 1500 that had rolled over. A bystander requested emergency medical services as the driver was regaining consciousness but unable to speak. The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
Thirty-four traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding violations, warnings and roadside suspensions. Members also responded to five alarms.

Unity Report – Aug. 26 to Sept. 1
RCMP are investigating a report of unsafe storage of firearms.
Members received a complaint of assault, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a complaint of breach of peace. The subject had left the premises. Members patrolled but could not locate the person.
A 37-year-old Camrose, Alta., man was charged with break and enter with intent, theft of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, and operation while prohibited after police received a complaint of a stolen vehicle.
A 29-year-old Unity woman was charged with assault with a weapon after a complaint of assault.
RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment. Members spoke to the subject and issued a verbal warning.
Members responded to a vehicle collision involving a moose. No injuries were reported.
Police received a request to keep the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence.
RCMP received a complaint of fuel theft from a local gas station. The investigation continues.
Police are investigating a complaint of sexual assault.
Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a concerned citizen.
There were also four traffic complaints, two false alarms and one false 911 call.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a report of an individual not complying with a court order. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner, who agreed to move it.
Members received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located, and the complainant declined to proceed.
RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
There were also two traffic complaints.
Macklin Report
RCMP conducted a well-being check at the request of a health-care professional.
Members received a complaint of assault, but the complainant declined to proceed.
A 37-year-old Camrose, Alta., man was charged with theft of a vehicle and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime after police received a complaint of a stolen truck.
Police received a report of a suspicious individual near a business. Members transported the person to another community.
Members spoke to an individual regarding a neighbour dispute.
RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. The subject was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Provost Hospital for assessment.
Police received a complaint of an individual in possession of stolen property. The matter is under investigation.
Members received a complaint of trespassing, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
There was also one false 911 call.
