REGINA – A 29-year-old Regina man is in custody following a weapons complaint in Regina on Sunday afternoon.
At about 3:58 p.m. on that day, Regina Police Service officers were called to the the 2200 block of Lindsay Street for a report of a weapons offence involving a machete.
The information given to police was that a male suspect was chasing multiple individuals threatening them with machete.
Police arrived on scene, located the suspect and arrested Ryan Meana. A machete was located on the ground a short distance away.
Meana is charged with assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Sept. 15.
