SASKATOON — A 51-year-old woman was forced to jump from a window to escape a break and enter on the weekend.
At approximately 10 p.m., Sept. 13, police responded to a call regarding a break and enter by an armed suspect to a home in the 400 block of Avenue S South in Saskatoon.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who said a woman had entered her home and threatened her with a firearm. The victim then fled the scene through a window. The suspect is known to the victim.
Further investigation identified a suspect vehicle, which officers located and stopped soon after. The suspect was located inside the vehicle along with a machete. No firearm was found.
The 30-year-old woman accused is facing charges of break and enter with intent, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of court conditions.
