WEYBURN — RCMP in Saskatchewan say another vehicle was damaged after driving around the same time and place as a highway shooting last week that left one woman dead.
Mounties say the driver of the second vehicle reported hearing two pops that sounded like rocks hitting their windshield while driving Friday along Highway 39 near Weyburn, southeast of Regina.
They say the driver reported a flat tire the day after the shooting, but no damage to their windows.
Investigators examined the flat tire and determined it was flattened by a gunshot.
The driver told RCMP they may have been travelling behind a separate SUV that was shot at around the same time that day, resulting in the death of a 44-year-old woman in the SUV.
RCMP say the driver did not know the people in the SUV and wasn’t aware of the shooting.
