Cut Knife Report – Sept. 8 to 14
CUT KNIFE — RCMP received 116 calls for service between Sept. 8 and 14, including well-being checks, reports of disturbances, traffic offences, mischief, assault, assault with a weapon, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Act calls, fire, theft of vehicle, uttering threats, break and enter, harassing communication, collisions, theft, suspicious persons, family disputes, animal calls and assisting other agencies.
Notable files include:

Vehicle theft: RCMP responded to a report of a black and grey Polaris Ranger side-by-side stolen from Centre Street in Neilburg around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 7. On Sept. 11, it was located at a property just north of Neilburg during a search warrant. The investigation is ongoing.

Gravel pit incidents: Multiple thefts and mischiefs were reported throughout the week at the Poundmaker First Nation gravel pit. These incidents remain under investigation.

Wellness check leads to arrest: During an unrelated wellness check at a hotel in Country Roads, officers found a 28-year-old individual wanted on an outstanding warrant. The person resisted arrest, prompting the use of a conducted energy weapon (CEW). The subject was safely taken into custody without injuries.
Fifty-two traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding violations, warnings and a roadside suspension. Members also responded to four alarms.
In your community: Cut Knife members attended the pancake breakfast on Little Pine First Nation for FASD Awareness Month, hosted one “Ride Along” and made six school visits in the area.
Unity Report – Sept. 9 to 15
UNITY — RCMP handled several calls, including:

A stolen truck complaint (investigation ongoing).

Two well-being checks at the request of health-care professionals.
-
Multiple theft complaints with insufficient evidence to proceed.
-
Three Mental Health Act complaints, with members speaking to the individuals involved.
-
An abandoned trailer found in a rural area near Unity. Members determined it had been stolen from Czar, Alta.
-
Traffic control after a grain truck caught fire. Unity Fire Department extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported, and the fire was not suspicious.

A complaint of an individual damaging residential property (under investigation).
There were also five traffic complaints, one false alarm and one false 911 call.
Wilkie Report
WILKIE — RCMP received complaints of theft, unwanted individuals at residences, and a break and enter at a C-Can, though in several cases there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Other notable files included:

A report of stolen property, which remains under investigation.

A criminal harassment complaint (under investigation).

Police acting as mediators in a dispute between two adults.

A request to notify a property owner of an unlocked business door.
Macklin Report
MACKLIN — RCMP files this week included:

A criminal harassment complaint deemed unfounded.
-
A 37-year-old man charged with assault and mischief, and a 25-year-old woman charged with failure to comply with an undertaking condition following a dispute.

A report of a low-flying spray plane, referred to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture.

A request to dispose of possible illicit drugs located at a business.
-
A report of a lost wallet (still missing).
-
A 21-year-old man charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats following an assault complaint.
-
Reports of suspicious individuals near a farmyard and a residence backyard. Both matters had insufficient evidence to proceed.
There were also three traffic complaints.
