That’s a wrap on the 620 CKRM Harvest Country Cookouts! Special thanks to Saskatchewan Roughriders Craig Reynolds, Kevin Clive, Nick Mazurak, Malik Carney and Rolan Milligan for showing up with gifts and enthusiasm for our winner David Sloan of Richardson.
As we cross the finish line for another incredible harvest season, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us—farmers, families, sponsors, and listeners. Your involvement, spirit, and support turned each cookout into a true celebration of Saskatchewan’s farming heart and community pride.
Harvest is always a time filled with hard work, determination, and a real sense of accomplishment. This year, we’re especially grateful that we could come together to share laughter, good food, and unforgettable memories out in the fields that feed us all. I love that I had the opportunity, once again, to tour this great province of ours and I saw a lot that I would of never seen if it wasn’t for our cookouts. I also want to send a heartfelt appreciation to all of those who stopped and took the time to come over and say Hi and share your stories of your communities and show me the pride you have in your town. Thank you.
From everyone at 620 CKRM, thank you for making the Harvest Country Cookouts a highlight of the season. Until we gather again next year, keep those memories close to your hearts. Here’s to the strength of our farming community and the traditions that bring us together!
Again, our great sponsors make this all happen.

Took another journey along highway 33 and my first stop was Kronau that was incorporated as a village in 1907 and was named from the early settlers in the 1890’s from a town from Southern Russia.
Found this isolated cemetery just north of Kronau called the 1890’s St. Peter’s Katharinental cemetery.
Next stop was the Kathrinthal Colony
Time to hang out in Oyama Regional Park for a bit. What a nice getaway.
Time to swing by the St. Peters Colony and the Shrine of the Lady Lourdes.
Here are some of the random sightings in the area that I captured on camera….including a swing by the Lajord colony & Emerald Parl area.
Time to head to Richardson just outside of Regina on highway 33. Richardson was named after Judge Richardson who presided at the trial of Loui Riel.
