SASKATCHEWAN — FlixBus, North America’s intercity bus service, is expanding its Calgary–Regina route to include three new rural Saskatchewan stops.
Beginning Sept. 25, buses will make scheduled demand stops in Lumsden, Chamberlain and Kenaston. Under the demand-stop system, buses will only stop in the community if a booking is made at least 15 minutes in advance.
“FlixBus’ expansion to Lumsden, Chamberlain and Kenaston marks another step in building a more connected intercity network across Canada,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications at Flix North America. “Adding these demand stops along our popular Calgary–Regina route makes it easier for people in rural communities to access affordable and reliable travel options. Whether it’s visiting family, reaching jobs or staying connected to larger cities, this expansion reflects our commitment to making intercity travel more accessible for all.”
The expansion will provide two trips per day and will strengthen travel connections between rural towns and major urban hubs in Calgary and Regina.
Passengers can expect modern buses offering free Wi-Fi, onboard restrooms, reclining seats with ample legroom and complimentary luggage allowances. Reserved seating is also available for an additional fee. Amenities may vary depending on the bus.
The Lumsden stop will be located at the Esso Gas Station on Highway 20. The Chamberlain stop will be at the Esso Gas Station on Second Street at Highways 2 and 11. The Kenaston stop will be at Millsap Fuel Distributors on Front Avenue.
FlixBus is part of Flix North America Inc., the parent company of FlixBus Inc. and Greyhound Lines, Inc. The company operates long-distance bus services across Canada, the United States and Mexico, with more than 12 million passengers riding annually.
