ESTEVAN — An arrest warrant was issued for a southeast Saskatchewan man who has numerous charges before the court.
According to information from the Saskatchewan RCMP, on Aug. 3, the Carnduff RCMP received a report of an assault in Glen Ewen. The RCMP says an investigation determined a man approached a residence, forced his way in, threatened the occupants and assaulted one of them, who reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.
The RCMP added the occupants of the residence later noticed a vehicle parked outside had been vandalized. An adult male was arrested Aug. 3.
Jody Bonnor, age 59, from Alida is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm, two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to an order, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of break, enter and commit, and one count of mischief under $5,000. All charges are under the Criminal Code.
He was scheduled to make his first appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on Sept. 29 but was not present when his name was called. He was then charged with one count of failing to attend court, which resulted in the arrest warrant.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
