REGINA — Five people charged after an 11-year-old girl was shot remain in custody after recent court appearances.
Those charged include, Michael Mayer, 20, Amber Jensen, 29, Noah Pollock-Mayer, 18, Anthony Nahbexie, 20, and Devon Nahbexie, 18.
All five were remanded in custody after appearing in Regina Provincial Court.
Mayer is charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, reckless discharge of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. He was in court on Sept. 26 and is now scheduled to appear by CCTV on Oct. 17.
Pollock-Mayer is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, failing to comply with release conditions, and conspiracy to commit murder. He is scheduled back in court on Oct. 10.
Anthony Nahbexie and Devon Nahbexie are both charged with attempted murder, reckless discharge of a firearm, conspiracy to commit murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Anthony Nahbexie and Devon Nahbexie were in court on Sept. 17 and are scheduled back in court by CCTV on Oct. 10 and Oct. 9, respectively.
Jensen is charged with accessory after the fact and conspiracy to commit murder. She appeared in court on Sept. 25. Her matter was adjourned to give her time to get counsel and she is scheduled back in court on Oct. 15.
Over six weeks, Regina Police Service arrested them during their investigation into a shooting. Officers were called to a home in 1000 block of Edgar Street in the Eastview neighbourhood shortly after 2 a.m. on Aug. 11. When they arrived, they found an 11-year-old girl inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to hospital by EMS with serious injuries.
