PINEHOUSE — Two men have been charged in the homicide of 30-year-old Braydon Natomagan from Pinehouse.
RCMP say that on Oct. 3, around 2 p.m., Pinehouse RCMP received a report of a shooting just outside of Pinehouse. They located a seriously injured man, who was then transported to the local clinic where he was declared deceased.
RCMP say their investigation determined that an altercation occurred between a group of individuals in which a firearm was discharged, injuring the victim. Two suspects fled from the scene in a vehicle.
Officers found the vehicle near Beauval, activated their vehicle’s emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled before coming to a stop on an off-road trail. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken over the investigation and, as a result, has charged 25-year-old Christopher Nolan with:
- one count, second-degree murder; and
- one count, firearm possession while prohibited.
Thirty-one-year-old Kelsey Iron is charged with:
- one count, accessory after the fact to murder;
- one count, flight from police;
- one count, dangerous driving; and
- one count, refusal to comply with breath demand.
