Unity Report – Sept. 23 to 29
Members received a report of a combine fire. The fire was extinguished by the Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.
RCMP received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. The licence plate on the vehicle had been stolen from Alberta. An individual was charged in another occurrence.
Members received a complaint of a hit-and-run incident causing damage to a vehicle. Reported for insurance purposes.
RCMP received a complaint of a stolen truck. An individual was charged in another occurrence.
Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of the complaint.
RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. Members spoke to the registered owner, who agreed to move the vehicle.
Members are investigating a complaint of criminal harassment.
Police received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.
An individual turned in a found cell phone.
RCMP received a report of horses near Highway 14. Members attended, but the animals were gone on arrival.
Members spoke to an individual regarding a child welfare concern.
There were also four traffic complaints and two false alarms.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire in a rural area near Tramping Lake. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of a stolen golf cart. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a report of a traffic collision in Wilkie. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a request from Emergency Medical Services to assist with a patient.
RCMP received a complaint of stolen bicycles, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
A 31-year-old female from Wilkie was charged with theft of a credit card and misuse of a credit card after members received a report of an unwanted individual at a residence.
Members received a complaint of theft but it was unfounded.
RCMP received two Mental Health Act complaints. Members spoke to the subjects of complaints.
There were also three traffic complaints.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of an individual not complying with an undertaking condition. This matter is still under investigation.
A 27-year-old female from Edmonton was charged with possession of property obtained by crime after members received a complaint of a stolen truck.
Police received a report of a traffic collision. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family friend.
RCMP acted as mediators in a family dispute.
A 29-year-old male with no fixed address was charged with two counts of theft of truck, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from peace officer and fail to comply with undertaking condition after members received two reports of a stolen truck and a report of an abandoned truck with a stolen licence plate.
Police received a complaint of defamatory libel, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members attended the sudden death of a 70-year-old male from Macklin. The death was not suspicious in nature.
RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious individual near residences. This matter is still under investigation.
Police received a complaint of an unwanted individual near a residence. This matter is still under investigation.
Members received a report of a dog running loose in Macklin. The complainant called back to state that the owner of the animal had been located.
There was also one traffic complaint and one false 911 call.
