Casino Regina is donating $25,000 to the Heritage Community Association (HCA) to support food security and recreation programs starting in October 2025.
Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan (LGS) board member and White City–Qu’Appelle MLA Brad Crassweler said the provincial government believes in maintaining a gaming sector that shares its benefits with Saskatchewan communities and nonprofit organizations.
The HCA partners with local groups to provide programs such as gardening sites, community clean-ups, martial arts, nutrition camps, and cooking classes. Executive Director Wendy Miller said the donation will help the group continue serving thousands of residents in Regina’s Heritage neighbourhood.
“Last year we served more than 8,200 people in our programs, and this donation helps us keep that momentum going,” Miller said.
SaskGaming President and CEO Blaine Pilatzke said the HCA has a strong record of community service and called it “an essential part of the Heritage neighbourhood.”
Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw are operated by SaskGaming.
