ESTEVAN — An Estevan man is facing two charges following an assault in the city.
According to the Estevan Police Service report for Oct. 6, police responded to the report of an assault at a local business. The EPS said the suspect, a 48-year-old Estevan man, was located, arrested and charged for assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Also on Oct. 6, a well-being check was requested for a female. The EPS said members were working to locate her to ensure her safety.
A male was found to be breaching court-ordered conditions. He was arrested and later released.
Police received a driving complaint involving a vehicle that nearly struck another. The incident is being investigated.
Officers responded to an Oct. 7 request for a well-being check on an individual experiencing mental health concerns.
Members are investigating a reported theft from a local business.
Police are also investigating a report involving an Estevan male allegedly breaching his release order.
Officers were called to an apartment complex for a female reportedly causing a disturbance. Members attended but she had left prior to their arrival. She was located a short distance away and was warned about her behaviour.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a 43-year-old Estevan man. An approved screening device demand was administered, and he provided a breath sample that registered as “warn”. He was issued a 72-hour roadside suspension and the vehicle was impounded for three days.
A well-being check was requested for an Estevan man. Members attended and offered support services that the EPS said were declined.
