LLOYDMINSTER – An Onion Lake Cree Nation man facing more charges was back in Lloydminster Provincial Court Wednesday.
Michael Patrick Hill, 27, saw his case adjourned to Dec. 17 to be spoken to.
Hill's new charges stem from two separate incidents in August and September 2024.
According to court documents, on Aug. 3, 2024, he allegedly took police on another pursuit on Onion Lake Cree Nation. In that incident he is charged with evading police, dangerous driving, driving while prohibited, and failing to attend court.
Another incident on Sept. 24, 2024, is also related to an incident in Onion Lake that led to further charges of driving while prohibited, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, being unlawful at large, and breaching release conditions.
Hill has been arrested and released numerous times. In 2023 a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court.
In February 2025, Hill, now 27, was denied bail and a publication ban was placed on the hearing.
