REGINA — Who doesn’t have a cell phone these days. But do we all know the safety issue lithium-ion batteries pose?
According to the National Research Council of Canada, lithium-ion batteries are generally safe when manufactured, handled, and used properly. However, failures can result in intense fires due to the highly flammable electrolyte and energy density of the cells.
