Update, Oct. 9: With the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Courtnall Flett from Shoal Lake Cree Nation. Flett was previously reported missing to Nipawin RCMP. His family has been notified and Victim Services made available to them.
Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
Original report, Oct. 4: NIPAWIN — The death of a pedestrian on a highway near Nipawin is under investigation, with no identification yet.
On Oct. 2, at approximately 6 a.m., Nipawin RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 55, east of Nipawin.
