SASKATCHEWAN — With the rain and first snowfalls of the season, drivers should be checking with the Highway Hotline before heading out.
While the rain has generally tapering off Monday morning, there is still a snowfall warning in the northeast, from Nipawin to Brabant Lake. Heavy snowfall continues Monday morning, with total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm. The highest amounts will be near the Manitoba border. The snow is expected to end by this afternoon.
As of 1 p.m. there were two areas where travel is not recommended:
- Highway 23 – North Jct Hwy 3 to Jct Hwy 335 – snow packed, slush;
- Highway 3 from Prairie River Access to Mistatim – snow packed, slush;
